Felix Dinnessen

Felix Dinnessen is an Associated Practitioner with the Desirable AI project at the Center for Science and Thought at the University of Bonn. With a background in business and political science, he works at the intersection of technology research, economics, and public policy.

His main research interest is how technology can enable sustainable economic growth. His practical work also focuses on how the state, society, and the economy can responsibly adopt advanced technologies at scale while maintaining trust, resilience, and democratic accountability.

Felix is a Partner in the Government & Public Services practice at Deloitte, where he advises public institutions on how to harness the potential of AI and other emerging technologies. He also serves as an expert (“Sachverständiger”) to the Enquete Commission on Artificial Intelligence of the State Parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia. In that role, Felix contributes perspectives on economic growth, innovation policy, and AI governance — specifically, how AI can be governed in a way that accelerates productivity and competitiveness while remaining aligned with the public interest.

Within Desirable AI, Felix aims to develop frameworks that allow to measure and shape the technological advancement of AI through the lens of human progress.
